Anar Kali bazar of Chakwal
In Chakwal's famous
In the sanctum sanctorum
of these palaces, there were thousands of flaming bodies waiting to be visited
by a member of the royal family. These fun-loving Mughals who came this way
from Central Asia would pick a body for a funeral round the clock and then
forget it forever. Whether the story of Pomegranate flower growing up in these
palaces is fact or fiction may never be decided. Thus, the tomb of Anar Kali
also exists, but the question of who is buried in it will always remain. Anar
Kali market is also in many cities and
named like anarkali bazaar in Huntington, anar kali bazar of
chakwal Ahmedabad, anar kali bazar of chakwal Bangladesh and anar kali bazar of
chakwal.
Today I was in this market while walking around my city. Due to very
little sunshine, this narrow bazaar is usually cool in summer, but today the
intense heat of the Savan made it impossible to walk here.
Village women have their own style of
shopping. Carrying three or four shopping bags, these women stop all the way in
the middle of the bazaar and engage in "meeting" without concern.
Generally, these women come to the market in group form and fetch a good price.
The shopkeepers who are used to this bargain, tell the price higher when they
see the women and eventually sell the item at the original price after making a
discount. Women are happy at the discount and shopkeepers are happy to sell
their goods at a better price. Very few buyers from the remote areas of Chakwal come to the city, but those living within a radius of twenty-five kilometers
prefer to shop in Chakwal city.

Anar Kali Market Chakwal
Go is small but it always has the special charm of the market. Shopkeepers
clamoring to sell their wares, beggars begging on recordings, Pathan boys
carrying trays of tea cups here and there, the smell of kebabs and samosas
frying, the aroma of pickles and spices, on the footpath and in their own
homes. Stalls coming out of shops, the distinctive smell of new clothes, girls
talking fast, stubborn children, girls scolding young men and women seriously
discussing small issues. There are only two or four old houses left in Anar
Kali Bazar, and one of them is the house of Zahid Hasan Faridi, a dervish
scholar. Warehouses are usually built on the upper floors of the shops, but
some families also live on them. This is unknown that how they live in this house
for a long time all day.
Many memories of my childhood
are also connected with the Anar Kali Market of Chakwal. There used to be an
audio cassette house called Fine Music Centre. I bought countless audios from
this music center. Then it was common to upload requested songs on audios, so
we used to upload our favorite songs from here. There used to be a
bespectacled, fair-haired shopkeeper here, but I can't remember his name now. A
little further there used to be Khawaja Pharmacy, the name of which we often
found in the newspaper advertisements in the stockist's box. Reading the name
of Khwaja Dawakhana Anar Kali Bazar Chakwal used to feel a sense of security
and that's it. Perfume was also found here, so the scented wrappers kept the
surrounding pomegranate market fragrant. Asif Sports is still there and I used
to visit it occasionally to buy cricket equipment. Among the old shops, apart
from Asif Sports, only Hay Al Qayyum General Store and Corner Suites are left.
Markets are also a reflection
of our society. There are many sasta bazar online shopping but what we all
are doing and what we are thinking can be well known from common goods found in
the market. They are also the center of our culture. Others cities have also
some cheap market in Karachi and cheap clothes market in Lahore. Cities grow
around markets and markets. The vices and virtues flourishing in society can be
seen here. All kinds of people come here, the ignorant and the learned, the
rich and the poor, the beggars and the rich. Fashion, people's behavior, habits
and traits, overall social progress and decline, improvement or destruction of
the country's economy, etc., etc. as if the market is an important tool for
judging the society. So sometimes the market must be seen in this context.
